This should be merged into orbit: all orbits are conic sections, with elliptical orbits as the norm, and circular and hyperbolic orbits as special cases.

And while you're at it, physics geniuses, please rewrite the moon orbit explanation so a layman like me can understand it. Does the earth-moon pair orbit the sun together, or what? If a huge sphere revolves around a point inside itself is that called an "orbit" or a "wobble"? --Ed Poor
