Proposed move[edit]

It seems improbable that the subject ever used the name "Janet Norton Lee Bouvier Auchincloss Morris", or that it is the name by which others would most commonly refer to her. Do the sources confirmt that this is the name she used or was best known by? -Will Beback · · 23:40, 22 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Janet Lee Bouvier" seems to be more popular, and on better quality sources. [1] vs. Janet Norton Lee Bouvier [2] or "Janet Norton Lee Bouvier Auchincloss Morris" [3]. -Will Beback · · 10:39, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since there's been no debate on the topic in three months I'll assume it isn't controversial and move it from "Janet Norton Lee Bouvier Auchincloss Morris" to "Janet Lee Bouvier". ·:· Will Beback ·:· 23:03, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

At the time of President Kennedy's death, she was referred to as Mrs. Hugh Auchincloss, which was the customary manner in which a married woman was addressed in those days. It is not improper today.

Spelling out all of the surnames she used helps to identify her.

Birth date[edit]

Her birth year is listed as 1907 in the first paragraph, but she's included in the 1906 births category down at the bottom. Which is correct? --agatehawk —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.38.216.134 (talk) 18:05, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Irish?[edit]

It is claimed in the list of Irish Americans that she was mostly of Irish descent. Where is the evidence for this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ausseagull (talkcontribs) 08:19, 22 May 2009 (UTC) 81.159.70.120 (talk) 11:46, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Her home[edit]

That is a fine picture of her home in Georgetown. It would be of interest to know what street it was in. Valetude (talk) 00:21, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
