Is there a better example?[edit]

The article says that changing between allophones within a phoneme never changes meaning, but the example given is aspirated vs unaspirated voiceless bilabial plosives, as in spun vs pun or spin vs pin. But if you pronounce pun without aspiration, then it would certainly be interpreted as bun, and pin as bin, so that's not really true. It's fair to say that pun and spun only share a phoneme in theory and spun actually shares a phoneme with bun.
