Hi there! I'm not very familiar with ASR myself, but I notice there's quite some other similar pointers in mainspace, e.g. Delete and Guideline and probably others. I don't really mind either way if you delete these or replace the one on Policy, but consistency is nice. And maybe adding a line or two to ASR would clarify for the future. Dude?[edit]

Why can't you see the humour in what I am doing? Do you really think intelliegent people believe the bullshit written in this wiki? No they don't and would like another opinion on her. It isn't spam and it isn't advertising it is just another source on her/him. Leave it alone and grow up. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Iminicus (talkcontribs) 03:56, 18 September 2006 (UTC)

Sure 'n begorrah - knew t'was so... I actually looked up your edit line scores; it said edit summary usage for Ziggurat: 100% for major edits and 100% for minor edits. Not the kind of person who routinely forgets to ~~~~. Cheers - Williamborg (Bill) 02:24, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notability now a guideline[edit]

A sad time for Wikipedia... although it was generally accepted by the community, now there's an incredibly subjective barrier of inclusion for Wikipedia. -- Chris chat edits essays 19:02, 28 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aribitration relating to NNOT and Radiant[edit]

Hey, this relates to the above headers. I just put together an arbitration case at Wikipedia:Requests_for_arbitration#Harrassment.2C_talk_page_vandalism.2C_and_non-consensus_changes_to_guideline. Radiant has pushed notability on us without any clear consensus. Other things are also at hand. I would greatly appreciate your input. Fresheneesz 05:17, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

AfD closure[edit]

I appreciate your notes, I am weighing them considerably. Honestly, the reason I closed it was, it has been going on since September 25. It seemed clear that there would be no consensus reached, and I felt standing by would delay the inevitable. But again, your points are valid and will influence my actions in the future. PT (s-s-s-s) 23:24, 3 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It seems that you and I are in a similar situation regarding AfD closures by the gentleman above me in the user talk: PT. I would like us to work together and with him if possible in allowing our debate to be heard. From the talk on his page I am feeling like you and I are both being filibustered in a sense. Green hornet 02:22, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your quick reply despite your wikibreak, which I hope you are enjoying. You are right that the world will not end if this or that article does not get deleted. I am more interested in generally cleaning wikipedia up from extraneous non-encyclopediac information. One question I have for you is about your comment on the template I used. I did in fact use the same template for renomination that you linked in the comment. Hope you are well and again, enjoy your wikibreak! Green hornet 02:43, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Questions[edit]

thanks, appreciate the feedback.

Picture for Quaboag River[edit]

Hello, I supplied a picture, CLICK to view, for the Quaboag River article I wrote. I noticed that I didn't hold the camera correctly so the dam was crooked. I corrected the picture and uploaded a new version. Software said that the upload was complete, however the picture is unchanged even there are now two versions! Can you fix this? LymanSchool 22:52, 22 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I uploaded a new version with a new name, CLICK to view. The old one is no longer referenced except in the paragraph above. LymanSchool 12:09, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Parsssselltongue's talk archive[edit]

You're right -- for some reason, I thought these were typoed page titles rather than an actual archive. I moved the archive to User talk:Parsssselltongue/Archive and deleted the redirect in mainspace. I can't force him to put a link to the archive on his talk page, I don't think. Any suggestions? SVG??[edit]

Is it possible to upload SVG files, and have wiki automatically convert it on the fly to png? If so how do I do this, when I tried to upload an SVG it said it was not a recommended format, I did not see a way to force it to go. I noticed in the uploaded files area you have a couple that are .svg.png. Also, could you please resond on my talk page? Thanks. --Green-Dragon 06:31, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Brandy Roderick[edit]

I think she used to live in the area. I looked at her bio on askmen.com and it says she grew up in Novato, CA and attended Santa Rosa Junior College (all which are in the Rohnert Park, CA area. I almost removed it but wanted to do one more do diligence search. I still cannot find a direct link. Maybe it is best you removed it as unsourced. Ronbo76 21:00, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We must be in the minority - I hate unsourced edits. I let this pass because it had an inkling of truth and I wanted to check it again. I'm glad you took it out!

Wikipedia's Expert Peer Review process (or lack of such) for Science related articles[edit]

Hi - I posted the section with the same name on my talk page. Could you take part in discussion ?

User: Shotwell suggested (on my talk page) "I would endorse a WP:EXPERTADVICE page that outlined the wikipedia policies and goals for researchers in a way that enticed them to edit here in an appropriate fashion. Perhaps a well-maintained list of expert editors with institutional affiliation would facilitate this sort of highly informal review process. I don't think anyone would object to a well-maintained list of highly-qualified researchers with institutional affiliation (but then again, everyone seems to object to something)."

We could start with that if you would agree ... - could you help to push his idea through Wikipedia bureaucracy ?

In my view people nominated as "expert reviewers" should be willing not to hide under the veil of anonymity. They should be able to demonstrate some level of the verifiable accomplishment / recognition in the domain of professional science . BTW, I do not see any reason why the anonymity of editors on Wikipedia is considered to be a "good thing". Above is my general opinion, so please don't take my statement personally. There is obviously a choice given for everyone in Wikipedia either to act "in open" or to hide behind meaningless assumed pseudonym and I accept this situation. BTW, I do understand current Wikipedia concept that in order to produce good Wikipedia science article, one does not need to be a professional scientist ... - that is fine with me ... But I propose to have (at least optionally) ability to review/qualify such article by the professional scientist. Cheers, Apovolot (talk) 15:34, 2 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Ziggurat! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 1,095 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Mohammad Hejazi - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Nomination of High IQ society for deletion[edit]

A discussion has begun about whether the article High IQ society, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/High IQ society until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. WeijiBaikeBianji (talk) 11:12, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:TheWarIllustrated1915.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:TheWarIllustrated1915.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:50, 20 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
