- Hi again - just a couple of notes on making sure the table looks the same across all articles - don't put the year after the aircraft name (it's included fairly close to the top of the table anyway), and please only leave rows out where the information is not applicable to the aircraft. Blank rows invite others to try and find the data to fill them in!
- On a completely unrelated note, the preferred format for photographs on Wikipedia is .jpg (.png is preferred for drawings and diagrams. Cheers --Rlandmann 12:27, 6 Apr 2004 (UTC)

- Yes, editting a user's talk page is how it's done. See Wikipedia:Talk page for a complete explanation. The main advantage is that the user you want to contact will get the you have new messages link when you add something to their talk page. Thanks again for fixing the Battle article. Hi again Keith - thanks for all the work you're putting into tidying up the motley collection of WWII aircraft articles! Just pointing out that however it is that you're putting the designation series in place (cutting and pasting from somewhere?) it's going wrong and wrapping those lines in a TABLE tag at the top and bottom (that's why that row gets that grey underline when you save it). If you do another page the way you've been doing them and compare the code to a corrected version at Heinkel He 219 for example, you'll see what I mean... Hope this helps! You may be right. I am not an expert on Tachinids, and don't remember now what resource I used for that ID. Are there any online places where we can check this further? Districts[edit]

On a random note, I've put all the renamed Districts I can find at Districts of England#Renamings. I stumbled across the first one (South Buckinghamshire having previously been called 'Beaconsfield' when I was researching the issue of the Berkshire/London and Surrey/Buckinghamshire border (see Slough).
Since then I found several more, but essentially at random. I wonder if you have any info about this? ;) Morwen 18:39, May 24, 2004 (UTC)
- Excellent, thanks. Re: Medway, the bottom of [1] says it changed its name on April 1, 1998 - the day it came into existence. I suppose that must have been the first action of its council.
- I've moved the info about the unitary proposals to Subdivisions_of_England#Proposed_changes: because its only periphally to do with counties, and have put a map up showing England, assuming option 2 is always chosen. I'm pondering making one showing the proposed ceremonial counties. I note the report doesn't say whether West Lancs would be split between Merseyside and Greater Manchester ceremonially. I don't have much comments really. I like the way the locator map is showing the ceremonial area too. I want to see these boxes on all the unitaries and shire districts too ;) Morwen 12:34, 3 Jun 2004 (UTC)
Btw, I have discovered an interesting fact.
Compare Map of Dorset from 1695 and Map of Dorset from 1720. Note how the protusion in the west turned into a detatched part! All the maps that I checked on that website pre-1695 show it not as a detached part. So we are looking at a change made between 1695 and 1720! Morwen 12:34, 3 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Re: Lincs/Northants - cool! I was staring at that myself a few days ago - the Lincolnshire/Rutland border seems to continue as the Northamptonshire/Soke border. I presume that bit is the closest in the country to a place where 4 counties meet. Morwen 08:00, 8 Jun 2004 (UTC)

Hi keith. I noticed you changed the table on the Isle of Wight article, moving the arms and flag to a lower point. I just wondered why you did this as on other articles for places the flag appear at the top? I'm not saugesting any way is right or wrong, I was just curious as to why you wanted to do this, particularly because of the latter point Dainamo 16:46, 18 Jun 2004 (UTC)

I've made the thumbnail maps a bit smaller on South Bedfordshire, Mid Bedfordshire, Bedford (borough) and Aylesbury Vale and I think they look a bit better like that - especially with info beneath them. Any thoughts? Morwen - Talk 17:13, 21 Jun 2004 (UTC)
