Relevance[edit]

Nate,

Regarding your reverting changes on Open Shortest Path First. Let me just state once again, for the record, that:

  1. the license of an implementation is not at all relevant to the OSPF protocol page.
  2. OpenBSD's openbgpd does NOT have an OSPF implementation built in.

It's therefore obvious that such additions are not relevant to the OSPF page, and that this amounts to spreading the OpenBSD gospel. I understand that you feel strongly about OpenBSD, as does User:Janizary, and as do probably lots more people he can ask for help on this. But that doesn't change the fact that you're wrong, and that the OSPF article is the wrong place to be spreading the word on OpenBSD. Biot 08:54, 2 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

His point about CVS was what beat you, it's right there to download whenever you want it. Beyond that, the license used is something that people may care about, hell, listing the platforms it works on would be relevant as well. I don't contribute much, I mostly dink around, but I do occasionally see things that even I think are stupid - your insistance on not listing licenses is one of those, this information is not only relevant but useful. Just look at the SSH article, it's got a big list that even lists the programming language that is used in some cases, the license and even the the platform it runs on. Fair use violation[edit]

The image you reinserted into Template:User debian, Image:Openlogo-nd-100.png is marked as being used under fair use. It cannot be used in user or templace space according to wikipedia policies (see WP:FUC. Admins have been instructed to enforce this policy, with blocking if neccessary. Do not reinsert it or you may be blocked. Further, do not address me, or any other user, as 'dumbass' or you may well be blocked for personal attacks (see also WP:CIVIL). --Doc ask? 22:17, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nate, you've been blocked for 12 hours for personal attacks. --Dante Alighieri | Talk 23:07, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I missed the wording underneath the tag, thanks for bringing it to my attention. Sorry for the mistake, I'm only human. However, personal attacks are not excusable. I warned you once, and you ontinued - the block above is well justified. --Doc ask? 23:10, 3 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm calling out a posse, to fight for freedom of choice, to fight all those who think that only their opinion's right, template:user fsm was speedy deleted by an administrator without any cause or even discussion, I'm therefore putting it up for undeletion since people have put a jihad out against opinions in userboxes. As you were one of many people using the template, I'm trying to rally you into the posse. If you think the template should be returned to active status, put in a vote at Wikipedia:Deletion_review/Userbox_debates#template:user_fsm. Janizary 04:26, 22 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
