Untitled[edit]

The imdb page for this lists it as being a 1960 film, but it is here in the category 1959 films, whish is correct? Boffy b 10:13, 2004 Nov 25 (UTC)
I have just made some changes to the page and have left the date at 1959 as opposed to 1960. Although 1960 is on IMDB 1959 is the reference in Wingrove, David. Science Fiction Film Source Book (Longman Group Limited, 1985) --Amxitsa 16:36, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
According to TCMdb (under Original Print Info), the film premiere was in Los Angeles on November 23, 1959. I have added this date to the infobox. - Alan Smithee 03:26, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Amoeba looks like a cuttlefish[edit]

In the Plot section, it says, "They cross in an inflatable raft, only to be stopped by a giant amoeba-like creature with a single spinning eye." In Jacobs' post-mortem, Dr. Iris Ryan describes it as an amoeba-like creature but her description ("unicellular organism ... nucleus and a vacuole ...") sounds nothing like what is seen on the screen. The creature is bigger than their rocket ship! The creature looks like it was modeled on a cuttlefish or squid, if you ask me. AdderUser (talk) 21:37, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
