Accusations[edit]

Matthiasrex, what do you mean by 'he denounced'? Why have you erased sentences placed by Jacurek? Why do you think 'collaborator' is better than 'informer' and why have you deleted following important sentence: "Zanussi talks openly about his contacts with SB but denies any wrongdoing."

hi everyone, im currently studying with Krzysztof Zanussi (and other professors) and so i decided to add some content about him (them) - using the style/format/template i have seen at

http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neil_Postman (including his affiliation with the New York University) and http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Noam_Chomsky (stating his profession, area, affiliation with MIT and external links ...)

i admit that the article i have been building on is still shorter than Chomskys - but it includes more content than postman :)

anyway - the last editor deleted several information similar to the one given above - AND did it in a way that the articles is now including FALSE/MISLEADING statements.

the editor states "(No advertising please)" - but the information included (affiliation with university/faculty website) was only similar to chomsky/postman and many others.

first: Zanussi IS a professor at the European Graduate School in Switzerland "where he conducts a summer workshop" - the summer workshop DOES NOT TAKE PLACE in Poland. (changed by last editor)

second: is this abuse?

third: is it possible to add/include articles/information like this/ are they considered valuable for wikipedia - or is this considered wrong - then i am wondering why many other pages do it the very same way -

but i would certainly respect this. (and refrain from editing) thank you.

Are you interresting in contributing to wikipedia for something else than adding links to the EGS site ? Are this people permanent staff of your school ? Ericd 14:45, 25 Sep 2003 (UTC)

Name[edit]

With a name like Zanussi, is he actually of Polish ancestry? --Dpr 06:34, 26 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Not Polish, actually Jewish ancestry. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.56.104.126 (talk) 16:21, 1 October 2009 (UTC) It sounds Italian, I guess. Some Poles have Italian surnames after ancestors, mainly artists which arrived in Poland from Italy in the age of the Renaissance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.31.130.36 (talk) 14:51, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Zanussi telling victim of child molestor Polanski a prostitute[edit]

The message about this was deleted stating it was vandalism. Zanussi told exactly that in Polish TV! You can read it here: http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,,4747004,00.html?maca=en-sascul-992-rdf "If he (Polanski) wasn't a famous personality, the fact that he used the services of a teenage prostitute 30 years in Los Angeles, a city known for its free and easy morals, wouldn't have any impact today". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.56.104.126 (talk) 16:29, 1 October 2009 (UTC) It is definitely a truth. The ones who speak Polish can see the whole interview here: http://www.tvn24.pl/7842,1,kropka_nad_i.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.31.130.36 (talk) 14:46, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
