Out of place music discussion[edit]

The last paragraph of "Creation and casting" has nothing to do with the creation or casting of the character. It definitely belongs in the article, but I'm torn between (a) moving it out to its own section (which could be expanded with thorough analysis of its use in the films, assuming sources for such exist) and (b) creating a subsection at the end of "Creation and casting" called, say, "Music" and renaming the main section to something generix like "Concept". Update lead photo[edit]

Can someone please update the template picture with a Force Awakens/Last Jedi one, since that is the most recent official image of her? --104.174.104.148 (talk) 03:42, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As in all articles of this type, the image should be one by which the character is best known, not necessarily the most recent.— TAnthonyTalk 04:09, 19 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Birth name[edit]

On Wookieepedia, it states that Leia's birth name was "Leia Amidala Skywalker;" of course, this was originally just in Legends, but I did a little bit of digging, and there is a source in the current Star Wars canon that lists her birth name as Leia Amidala Skywalker: the 2016 edition of the Star Wars Character Encyclopedia: Updated and Expanded by Pablo Hidalgo. On page 20, the page about Bail Organa, there's a caption that reads "Bail and his wife, Breha, adopt Leia Amidala Skywalker." I've provided a link to the page on Google Books below. With that in mind, should her birth name be added to this article? Perhaps underneath her full name in the table? Just a thought. May the Force be with you.

Far too trivial for a general encyclopedia. Wikipedia is not wookiepedia. It belongs there, not here.

Name change proposal[edit]

Princess Leia is her former title and not actually her name. I think the title of this article should be changed to “Leia Organa.” That might just be me though. Thanks. 72.188.17.58 (talk) 17:11, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose per WP:COMMONNAME. To the vast majority of the world who want to find an article on this world-famous iconic character, "Princess Leia" is what they're going to look for. It's also what character Carrie Fisher is credited as playing in the closing credits of all six films where the character appears, including the sequel trilogy. oknazevad (talk) 20:31, 22 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose per Oknazevad.— TAnthonyTalk 05:26, 28 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
