Other information, some possibly irrelevent: (a lot of this gathered from phone interview with CVPWA people)

  1. they don't believe south california should get fixed amount of water if there's a shortage in north california
  2. something about looking at SITES, a dam project near "west-side of valley"
  3. another possible reservoir project above friant dam
  4. CVP water users apply to become CVPWA member
  5. SWRCB announced bills in Sept/Oct 2004, sent them Jan 21 2003
  6. Robert Stackhouse told me it was founded "about 25 years ago" (no exact date), so late 1970s is my guess.
  7. they file taxes and other things a business would do
  8. most CVPWA members statisfied with amount and quality of water recieved from CVP.
  9. federal and state projects should pay for reservoirs
  10. reservoirs should be built not just for farmers but for all because of the rising population of california
  11. dams in battle creek were small hydroelectric dams, PG&E has been supportive of removing them

I'm going to/someone should make a Central Valley Project stub linked from the Central Valley. The CVP stub will link to this page.

Stubly CVP done. Ivan 19:04, Feb 22, 2004 (UTC)

The CVPWA article was written so long ago that the current information is likely irrelevant or incorrect. Ivan (talk) 00:33, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
