Why such a pity article[edit]

What does the article mean by "his name was partly cleared and his constructive contributions recognized." ? This is unclear to me.

I'm surprised that an article on such an important figure is still left a stub. I'm tempted to write a new article. 172 02:27, 11 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

His role in Polish resistance[edit]

The book I see (Polish Army, 1939-1945 by Steven J Zaloga) claims that he was a member of Polish resistance during the Nazi occupation (probably the GL one). How come it is ommitted? --Irpen 02:10, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Soviet created government was in Moscow, Molobo. Gomulka was in Poland in the undergroung resistance. You ask me about Bandera at his talk. Don't bring off-topic stuff. --Irpen 04:27, 22 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

1956 events[edit]

I have brought over some information from the Hungarian Revolution of 1956 article, which more appropriately belongs here. Points of view should be excluded[edit]

I think that the following should be rephrased: He should be remembered as a Polish nationalist who betrayed the trust resulting from de-Stalinization and replaced it with personal, criminal dictatorship Wikipedia. shouldn't encourage a certain political point of view. " In June 1956, an insurrection began in Poznań"[edit]

Insurection is a wrong word - there were riots, strikes and ransacking, but hardly any fights. Plus the events were not organized but spontanous, you can't have an insurection without some kind of organizing body.

"an insurrection began in Poznań" is also an akward wording for an event that took two days and happened in Poznan only. Finally hardly anybody calls it an insurection - it's just "Poznań June" 212.67.153.125

Why the beginning (early life) is at the end?[edit]

It is the beginning of the article. What comes before is the lead section, which is now overly long, but it will be shortened after the material is completed in the specific subsections.
