"He is a great-uncle of economist Steven Levitt, and great-great-uncle to a WONDERFUL GIRL, Winona Levitt Weindling." That's wondeful that the editor of this page wants to praise Winona, whom the editor probably knows or is directly related to. I advise that you remove the colorful adjective.

Johnny Marks wrote a number of Christmas songs, but he did not write "I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day", nor did Bing Crosby "introduce" the song.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote the poem used for the lyrics, in 1863, and the poem was first set to music by John Baptiste Calkin, in 1872. Calkin introduced it to the public in performance that same year. Calkin's version was the standard version of the song of the song for more than 80 years. Marks crafted another musical setting of the poem in 1956.
Crosby introduced Marks' setting of the poem in a 1956 recording. While the recording was popular that year, it was several years before it began to displace Calkin's version. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.95.43.253 (talk) 23:30, 21 January 2021 (UTC)
