Premeditated Chaos[edit]

final (22/1/0) ending 07:04 28 December 2004 (UTC)

I've been here since November 23, 2004, and I currently have about 1665 edits (give or take one or two). I've written 21 articles (Dizzy Up the Girl, Swollen Members) and have completely redone 18. (Harlequin type ichthyosis, Chester Bennington) Other than that, I've uploaded several images (My gallery), done lots of grunt work (fixing redirects, merging, WikiSyntax project) and constantly revert vandalism as it happens. [1]

Mostly I want sysop powers so that I can be part of the cabal. (Kidding...) No, in all seriousness, I pretty much want sysop powers to make things more efficient. Rollback makes fixing vandalism faster and easier, and also it means dealing with persistent vandalism is easier. Any other questions...I'll be glad to answer. That should read November 23, 2003. I knew PMC had been here longer than a month. -- Cyrius| 07:38, 21 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Have changed vote & left a message about the typo for other 2 who have voted. Michael Ward 07:48, 21 Dec 2004 (UTC)
*blinks* Whoa. What a brilliant typo. Thanks for spotting that one, guys. [[User:Premeditated Chaos|PMC]] 19:07, 21 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Oppose

  • Seems to be an excellent user. Active in article, talk, and wiki spaces. My only reservation is that PMC is still quite new (less than a month). Would support after a bit more time. Michael Ward 07:27, 21 Dec 2004 (UTC)
  • I agree. I am not one to want to put up immense elitist requirements, but the whole issue with adminship is one of trust. And a month seems a little short, even for an apparently trusworthy editor. Would support after a couple of more months. Tom - Talk 07:33, Dec 21, 2004 (UTC)
  1. Oppose, self-nomination. Node 01:08, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Questions for the candidate
A few generic questions to provide guidance for voters:

1. What sysop chores, if any, would you anticipate helping with? (Please read the page about administrators and the administrators' reading list.)
A. I already do quite a bit of grunt/janitorial work, so I'd keep on with that. I'll revert vandalism/bad edits. (I already do anyway, but rollback will just make it easier) I'll deal with listings that are rotting on "old VFD". I'm willing to do what's needed, really. I can be versatile.
2. Of your articles or contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
A. I'm quite pleased with having written Swollen Members. I feel its a decently sized article, not perfect, but I like it. I re-wrote harlequin type ichthyosis, and from where I started its become a good article with quite a few contributors. And I'm pleased with my minor edits - especially helping the Wiki Syntax Project.
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and will deal with it in the future?
A. I haven't been in any directly personal conflicts (edit wars and the like) with anyone. However, I was involved in the conflict with Ciz at Zoophilia, which is currently in arbitration here. I did my best to explain Wiki policy to Ciz on a multitude of occasions, but he wasn't interested in listening. Eventually I decided it would be best to leave to the multiple sysops involved, and by extension the ArbCom. If I do run into similar problems in the future, I'll try to deal with it in the most polite (but firm) way possible.
