I believe this plant is native to much more than South America. I have eaten it hiking in Iceland (the translation of its name is also 'scurvy grass' as it is the only vitamin C source found naturally on the island,) but I'm not sure enough to edit the page. If anyone knows exactly please edit it.

The plant described here is not the species usually called Scurvy grass, which is the several species in the genus Cochlearia (Brassicaceae). I'll do an edit later.
