On-stage obscenity[edit]

There's a video clip floating around online of one of the members of the group having sex on stage. Should that be mentioned? yes and give the link

Overhaul?[edit]

As I started reading this today, I saw what I thought was a minor mistake in the year of recording for Revalation. I changed it from 1985 to 1984 as it states 1984 in the lyrics of the song itself. I saved my change and continued reading, but then I realized so much more was off overall, and I know that if I do a total rewrite, this will raise concern with chances of the entire entry being reverted back to this one.

Aside form the 84/85 debate, their second single, What I Like, was not recorded with Brother Marquis. He did not join the group until a year later, as evidenced on the recordings themselves. The key thing to note about What I Like was it showed the loss of founding member "Amazing V". Fresh Kid Ice rapped solo on this. Even the following single, Throw the D (usually mispelled Trow the D due to a misprint on the single) was Fresh Kid Ice and DJ Mr. Mixx only.

Brother Marquis joined the group in early 1986 when they performed at the Dade County Youth Fair. That resulted in the opening song on their debut album. The moved to Miami shortly after.

The band member situation is a lot more complicated than it seems in the Wikipedia article. For example it mentions their appearance at the Gathering Of The Juggalos, but the only member of the original 2 Live Crew was Fresh Kid Ice. One of the newer members is "Fish n Grits" for example.

Also this new 2 Live Crew did several feature appearances on tracks released on Psychopathic Records.

On the 2 Live Crew DVD Greatest Hits DVD you can see ex-member Luke in the video to "2 Live Party" with KC and the sunshine band (known for hits like "That's the way"), partying with Brother Marquis and Fresh Kid Ice. He makes no vocal appearance though. The song is from the album "The Real One" so at least at that time they were getting along again.

Mr. Mixx became Afroman's DJ at least for a while.

Freh Kid Ice announced on his website, that a former band member, who quit the band several years ago, tries to do shows as the "2 Live Crew" but only Freh Kid Ice's 2 Live Crew is the real one.

The title should read "The 2 Live Crew"[edit]

Every album reads "The 2 Live Crew" not "2 Live Crew". They referred to themselves as a band of performers whose shows were definitely over the top. The title, like the title of The Rolling Stones article should have the indefinite article in its header. I am requesting a consensus on this and requesting someone make this edit once reached. I added the article to the first sentence. It appears pretty consistently throughout the article.
