Political stance[edit]

Is this newspaper really more conservative than the "Le Monde" is left wing? The tone of the two articles is quite different. Whereas it is downplayed in one, it is pointedly marked out in the other. Should we harmonise this?

On the (admittedly few) occasions I have read it, it has come across as Anglophobic and Americaphobic... As a Brit, I would say it's barely less xenophobic than the Daily Mail or The Sun (and the views of these papers are something of a national joke here in the UK!). Occupation[edit]

Did Figaro continue to publish during the Occupation? If so, how did it survive when the other collaborationist papers were shut down after the Liberation? This should be mentioned in the article. Intelligent Mr Toad 18:25, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

about the bronze heads poll hold by Le Figaro[edit]

Ownership[edit]

The last part of the lead paragraph reads:

The newspaper is owned by Le Figaro Group, whose publications include TV Magazine and Evene. The company's chairman is Serge Dassault, whose Dassault Group has controlled the paper since 2004.[citation needed]

This article is from 2006, but says that it's owned by Socpresse, which is also owned by Dassault Group in any case. Should the sentence be changed, then, or does someone have a reference which shows that it is Le Figaro Group that owns the paper?

Publication schedule ?[edit]

Competing newspaper Le Monde's print edition comes out around lunchtime, while the date on the masthead is the following day's (e.g. the issue released at midday on 15 March shows 16 March on the masthead), is what I read in Le Monde#Publication schedule and in reuters, 14 May 2014. Right or centre-right ?[edit]

In the article there are several sources saying the paper is right-wing, including the director of Le Figaro himself. However on the side-bar there are several sources for "centre-right". It seems a clarification is needed. Poulets777 (talk) 16:15, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
