I believe[edit]

I believe that Cydoor is really adware. Yes, today we often use the terms spyware and adware interchangably. Andros 1337 21:13, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Why does nobody sue Cydoor? Are lawyers that uncreative? They would be heroes and make millions...

External Link to Cydoor[edit]

Umm. The "company web page" is just a "Congratulations! You have been selected to receive a FABULOUS PRIZE!" scam. Complete with the classic popup when you try to leave the page- this one reads, hilariously enough, "WAIT WAIT WAIT! get your ipad 2 now! Click cancel to stay on the page!"

I'm gonna go ahead and remove the link. I could cite WP:NOT but I really think this speaks for itself. If anybody objects, please explain why you feel the link should be included before restoring it. --Moralis (talk) 21:09, 31 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tags[edit]

Quick explanatory note - the content, as it stands, is supported by very old refs, and is self-contradictory - is it 'impossible to remove by most anti-virus software', or can it 'be removed by most anti-spyware software' - needs clarification, tidying up, and ideally more up to date sourcing. Introduction Rewrite[edit]

Honestly I think the introduction to this article needs a rewrite. It's got broken English ("These spywares hijacks Windows or Macintosh...") and confusing information ("It is a malicious computer program, which cannot be removed by common antivirus software like Malware bytes, Microsoft Security Essentials, Norton, McAfee, Webroot, Kaspersky, Sophos or Avast."). I personally am pretty awful at writing articles, I'm mainly here to help stop vandalism on Wikipedia. But, someone has to do the work. If no one else is able to do it or doesn't have the time, I'll clean it up sooner or later. LewisTehMinerz💬✒️ 17:24, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
