"Satyr Zeus"[edit]

Someone must have noted in print what seems so obvious, that the figure of Zeus here is an Olympian intrusion in this archaic story of the successful mating of a satyr with Antiope. Satyrs in Olympian myth are not generally successful, are they: the insertion that the "satyr was really Zeus" brought the old Boeotian mytheme into line. If I had a citation, I'd add this. Antiope herself BOASTED she had slept with Zeus. Why is she listed as a rape victim? Doesn't her own voice matter?
