Buddha?[edit]

- I agree. They belong to the mythical past, and their very historic existence is problematic. And to say that they belong only to Nepal is nothing less than bigotry.(Manoguru (talk) 05:48, 2 December 2011 (UTC))
NPOV[edit]
This article has POV problems:
- the title - National Heroes -- as defined by whom?
- "chosen for their contributions to the glory of the nation" - once again, by whom?
I would argue that this article should be titled "Notable Nepalese" or somesuch. -- Cleduc 05:03, 17 Jan 2005 (UTC)

hi.infact it was a sort of dismay to find that people unwilling to accept the title of national heroes of nepal.as mentioned in the text ,it is not an annual title to be conferred on merit basis but infact a list of nepalese who have been called "nepal ko rastriya bibhuti haru" which is in nepali and the english equivalent of it is the national heroes of nepal.
- The NPOV tag was put, because it wasn't specified whether this is a title, or simply a list under the name 'national heroes'. Now, it has been removed. utcursch 04:04, Feb 1, 2005 (UTC)
I believe hero is not a correct term for Bibhuti. I have seen "Luminary" being used here http://www.geocities.ws/gknepaleyn/data/nationalluminaries.html. Also it may be a good idea to have an updated list. I also believe that Pasang Lamhu and Sankhadhar are new addendum to the orignal list by the commission.
