Hi and welcome to wikipedia

You have made some good edits but also a couple of rather dubious ones.

The changes you made to byte order mark seemed to contridict the information in the referenced section of http://www.unicode.org/unicode/uni2book/ch13.pdf please see talk:byte order mark and respond to the points made there.

Thank you. Corrected.

According to Vague Rant the text you placed in Ideographic Rapporteur Group appears to be a copyright violation. Please see discuss this at Wikipedia:Copyright_problems#December_24. Plugwash 16:38, 24 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Done[edit]

You are right about the BOM. I thought I had heard otherwise on the Unicode mailing list, but I was wrong.

I have e-mailed the IRG and the page host for permission. I see that I misunderstood your copyright policy, which I have now read more carefully.

Regarding edits to Nondualism[edit]

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, Cherlin! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule \bangelfire\.com\/, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. Speedy deletion of Slavyanka Russian Chorus[edit]

A tag has been placed on Slavyanka Russian Chorus requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. скоморохъ 23:57, 14 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Evidence of notability added.

NPOV on Microfinance Criticisms[edit]

I believe I have now addressed all of the citation issues you sprinkled about the criticisms section of this article. The target marketing issue represents a major debate, but I don't have the time right now to dig up citations on a matter that is constantly discussed in microfinance circles but which involves documentation that goes back a few years (old issues of the MicroBanking Bulletin or the Journal of Microfinance).

Your comments have strengthened the article, and some of the research I have added has been distributed into another part of the article as useful core content.

As requested on the talk page, kindly remove the NPOV dispute from this section.Brett epic (talk) 14:12, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Much improved. I still have some issues to discuss with you.--Cherlin (talk) 21:10, 31 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Robin Wells Krugman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. As reviewing administrator I of course realize this is not a case for speedy. But there is going to be some question of her notability as being separate from her husband. Questions.

  1. She was Asst. Professor at MIT before going with Paul Krugman to Princeton. What exactly was her position at Princeton? "Professor" by itself implies full professor. The more reliable sources seenm to say "Researcher" or omit a title.
  2. Has she any separate publications? Add them.
  3. Are there any reviews of their books that indicate the degree of her contribution? Add them.

I advise you to do this very quickly, before the article gets nominated for deletion by a regular deletion process. DGG (talk) 00:01, 13 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Yukon River Inter-Tribal Watershed Council requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. WikiProject Economics census[edit]

Hello there. Sorry to bother you, but you are (titularly at least) a member of WP:WikiProject Economics, as defined by this category. If you don't know me, I'm a Wikipedia administrator, but an unqualified economist. I enjoy writing about economics, but I'm not very good at it, which is why I would like to support in any way I can the strong body of economists here on Wikipedia. I'm only bothering you because you are probably one of them. Together, I'd like us to establish the future direction of WikiProject Economics, but first, we need to know who we've got to help.

Whatever your area of expertise or level of qualification, if you're interested in helping with the WikiProject (even if only as part of a larger commitment to this wonderful online encyclopedia of ours), would you mind adding your signature to this page? It only takes a second. Thank you.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Institute of Safe Medication Practices, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.medscape.org/viewarticle/550273?rss.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Please always feel free to add ideas, questions, etc. at the bottom of that page -- even if you just want to say hi, and go into a little more detail about what you're hoping to work on -- we'd love to hear from you.

If you're just looking to get started, we have a page for that -- WP:Communicate OER Do -- intended to collect ideas of projects we can work on. There's currently a "getting started" recipe for how to post a review of a related article. (And if you're game, feel free to add other ideas!)

Looking forward to working together, -Sara FB (talk) 02:19, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 17[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Degenerate matter, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Singularity. The article Slavyanka Russian Chorus has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication this passes WP:GNG or WP:NMUSIC. Have checked Google, GBooks, GNews, and Highbeam and only found a couple of local pieces, nothing of wider interest.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ♠PMC(talk) 11:37, 25 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Talk:Gautama Buddha[edit]

It's helpful if you follow the normal talk page guidelines by adding new sections to the bottom of the page rather than the talk and signing your comments by typing four tilde characters. This makes it easier to tell who is saying what, when new comments are added, and helps the archive bots keep things tidy. --Spasemunki (talk) 23:39, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
