Eden=28=E5+D4+E5+N14, Man=28=M13+A1+N14[edit]

I added: In English Gematria, man (M13+A1+N14). - Benjamin Franklin 75.74.157.29 (talk) 23:59, 5 April 2014 (UTC) I just added (28=)Eden=E5+D4+E5+N14. - Benjamin Franklin 75.74.157.29 (talk) 19:37, 7 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Gematria is NOT numerology[edit]

A numerologist can use gematria, but that doesn't make gematria numerology. A numerologist can use your height and weight, but that doesn't make your height and weight numerology. A numerologist can use your area code and zip code, but that doesn't make your area code and zip code numerology. A numerologist can use your birthday, but that doesn't make your birthday numerology. A numerologist can use your... - Benjamin Franklin 75.74.157.29 (talk) 00:08, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Intense; but where did that come from? Yet, I do agree that the academic world is obsessed with keeping its collective hands clean by having nothing to do with topics that are assumed to be esoteric. Some day, a brave soul will stick his or her head above the parapet, and become a pioneer in research to which the door is presently closed. Somewhere there is a respected scholar who can recognise that studying an esoteric topic need not have to mean belief in the esoteric. What really matters is that there have been important movers and shakers in human history who made decisions and peddled beliefs that depended on their own esoteric outlook. If scholars can investigate such matters without bias or prejudice, the floodgates will open to a deluge of hidden information. --DStanB (talk) 15:41, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
It's now 2020 and English gematria and calculators are all over the Internet. Before the Hindu-Arabic numerals were created c. 600 AD, the alphabets of Greek, Hebrew, and Arabic doubled as their numerals with an agreed alphanumeric code corresponding to A-J = 1-10, K-T = 20-100, U- = 200- . Roman numerals have a different cipher that prevented Latin from establishing a common gematria. The science of linguistics treats gematria as being very important. I added Simple English Gematria, man=28=M13+A1+N14, Eden=28=E5+D4+E5+N14, lamb=28=L12+A1+M13+B2. 2601:580:B:9275:AD54:ED7B:D557:DAAD (talk) 23:40, 25 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, these values can easily be calculated, but that doesn't make them suitable material for inclusion in an encyclopedia article about the number. Certes (talk) 23:48, 25 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Wrong. Gematria is part of the science and history of linguistics - it's all over the Internet. This article has two examples of Hebrew gematria: In Hebrew Gematria, koakh meaning "power", "energy" is a word that corresponds to the number 28. 28 is the number of Hebrew letters in Genesis 1:1, the first verse of the Bible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:589:4800:9090:6562:7E79:88FC:D10E (talk) 19:57, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

28 is the 2nd Perfect Number[edit]

Twenty-eight is the second perfect number - it's the sum of its divisors: 1+2+4+7+14. 2601:589:4800:9090:6562:7E79:88FC:D10E (talk) 19:35, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

At 45° Longitude, the Sun Rotates Every 28 days[edit]

The rotation time of the surface of the Sun varies due to it being gas and plasma. At 45°, it rotates every 28 days. 73.85.203.50 (talk) 15:04, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

mistake[edit]

in "other fields" it says that power (koakh) in hebrew is 28 but it is actually 34.2A00:A040:18A:D2DE:900C:8DE4:F5A8:F938 (talk) 18:59, 30 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

There are 28 elements of the cuboid[edit]

I have added my first Wikipedia contribution There are 28 elements of the cuboid: 8 vertices, 12 edges, 6 faces, 2 3-dimensional elements (interior and exterior).. I have included the interior and exterior of the cuboid as its elements but I am afraid it is too unorthodox, especially including the exterior. But what if somebody is inside the cuboid looking outside?

I am not a native English speaker, and have difficulties with proper use of "a" and "the", sorry for that. Irkostka (talk) 00:50, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
