Actually to be more correct, they have previously used the blue shorts (i.e. vs. Ghana in the WC06) but currently (Euro 2008 qualifying) they are using white shorts, so I'm happy keeping the new edit. Gresszilla (talk) 12:00, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Correct. Czech Republic had worn blue shorts against Ghana in World Cup 2006 because of a clash of shorts - I'm thinking this is a FIFA directive in World Cup play that teams must also wear different colour shorts in the event of a clash. Jonzi9 (talk) 17:17, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Penalties[edit]

The Czech national team(and the Czecoslovak team) is the only one that have converted 25 of their 25 penalties in the history of the European championships, and are the only ones to have beaten the Germans on penalties (1976 final).Can this be added?and,if yes,where?--Ujkaj4president (talk) 16:02, 30 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Michal Hubnik has been entered twice (when it comes to latest call-ups), but I am not sure which info is the correct one. 21 March 2011 (UTC)

Biggest defeat “for competitive matches only”?[edit]

My addition of the yesterday’s defeat has been reverted because “records for competitive matches only”. OK, that might make sense… but the current biggest defeat listed (3–0 against Switzerland) was a friendly match as well… There are no competitive matches resulting in a 3-goal defeat, AFAIK. And there are ten 2-goal defeats in the history of the Czech national footbal team. [1] So… what should we list in the article? Two record friendly defeats? Ten competitive defeats? Nothing? It was my revert, may have been too swift in making it; having looked at other teams' pages it would seem there is at the very least no consensus to have the records for competitive matches only, and possibly even a trend to include "non-competitive matches" in this statistic.
