Images[edit]

Both images in this article are of poor quality. Perhaps someone familiar with the American Memory can dig out some better ones? There's better version of Wilson's birds on [1], so probably we can use it (the book itself is in the PD so probably the scan from the book is in PD too, right?). --romanm (talk) 22:05, 23 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Re-insertion of interesting link[edit]

Since I noticed that there was some concern with the link to “Majesty Sublime” I had added previously, I am re-inserting it (under the more precise title "Alexander Wilson")with the assurance that it is not spam and does pertain directly to Alexander Wilson. The link provides a brief overview of Wilson’s work not only as an ornithologist, but also as a writer and poet. The link is a well-researched and reputable online exhibit from Cornell University libraries.--MannLib (talk) 12:52, 19 August 2008 (UTC)MannLib[reply]

Non-Wilson Illustration[edit]

"Oiseaux" is not from American Ornithology. See one of the reference links on the page to see all of Wilson's illustrations. [1] Isegot 01:40, 21 March 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Isegot (talkcontribs)

  • "Oiseaux" was by Jacques Barraband, in H.N. Zoologie. Updated image, and removed from Wilson's gallery.[2] Zeete (talk) 22:14, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
