Varying sources give the date of birth for Johann Conrad Beissel as 1690 and 1691. A source for clarification would be a great help. Thanks. Rlvaughn 02:11, 15 Nov 2003 (UTC)

not just celibates[edit]

There were 3 orders that were a part of the cloisters

2 Celibate groups, one male and one female

and the Householders, married families that were a part of the community

Cloister?[edit]

Did the people at Ephrata call their community a "cloister"? If not, I suggest this article should be called Ephrata Community. /Leos Friend (talk) 12:22, 25 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
