Idiotville, Oregon[edit]

While going through the uncategorized Oregon articles, I found myself looking for this on the map near Bend until I saw the actual name. Would be speedy (I won't object still) except it's been here since August 30. -- Decumanus 05:15, 2004 Nov 21 (UTC)

  • No vote yet. Why is it disputed? A lot of places on the net seem to mention the place. According to a usenet post, its mentioned in Bill Bryson, _Made in America_, Minerva, 1994, ISBN 0 7493 8525 1. I can't find any entries _not_ related to its name, so I'm guessing it's an urban legend. — David Remahl 05:28, 21 Nov 2004 (UTC)
    • Well it is supposedly both in Eastern Oregon (near Bend) and on the Oregon Coast (Tillamook County) at the same time, which is impossible. If it's real, then someone who knows should clarify its location. I'd be happy to withdraw the nomination if it is indeed a real place.-- Decumanus 05:59, 2004 Nov 21 (UTC)
