Rwandan refugee camp[edit]

Rwandan refugees making camp in Kimbumba, Eastern Zaire, 1994

A really compelling photo. I think it's powerful and well done, but actually I'm sure you'll all find some way to criticize it :) . It's used on Rwandan Genocide, First Congo War, Consequences of the Rwandan Genocide, and Rassemblement Démocratique pour le Rwanda. --Dmcdevit 02:13, 1 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose Too small by current standards and does not really show the true magnitude of the situation. Denni 17:21, 2005 May 1 (UTC)
  • Oppose, the air looks overexposed. Mgm|(talk) 18:27, May 1, 2005 (UTC)
  • Oppose Way too small. Also not very special, IMHO Junes 20:34, 1 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose. While it adds significantly to all four articles listed above, and the subject matter is striking, the photo itself is unfortunately not great. It's hard to see what's going on, and the lack of color provide little to hold the eye. --Andrew 04:31, May 2, 2005 (UTC)
  • Oppose. Its a useful illustration for Rassemblement Démocratique pour le Rwanda and First Congo War. But the image quality is fairly low and I would have thought there were more dramatic images of larger refugee camps (I can't tell whether that is a town in the distance, or a continuation of the camp). Image:Rwandan Genocide Murambi skulls.jpg is a stronger illustration for Rwandan Genocide. -- Solipsist 07:23, 3 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]
