Previously Unreleased Material

It says on the page "It also includes two previously unreleased tracks". However, when you look at the section "Song origins", it states that only one song is previously unreleased...i don't know which one is right but could someone who does know please correct it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.208.226.59 (talk) 18:15, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

"Maria" was recorded for Warning and released on the single for Waiting, but it was re-recorded for International Superhits!, and the International Superhits! version was previously unreleased, i hope that answers your question :). --Chickenguy12 (talk) 10:21, 6 August 2010 (UTC)

Macy's Day Parade

From the info sheet included with Macy's Day Parade, it clearly states that it is in promotion of International Superhits! Though the release of Warning and International Superhits! singles were pretty much connected, Macy's Day Parade was also referenced on the other International Superhits! singles as well. -Disco dude rock (talk) 19:31, 24 September 2010 (UTC)

Maria

Nope. This is a compilation album, so we're noting where the tracks were taken from. "Maria" wasn't taken from anywhere because it was re-recorded specifically for this release. Maria was taken from the Waiting single. It was a B-side. It was re-recorded. It's no more unreleased than the tracks on Shenanigans. Sure, it was re-recorded, but that doesn't make it unreleased. As for Welcome to Paradise, it was originally on Kerplunk!, it was re-recorded for Dookie. You're not getting it at all. The recording of "Maria" on International Superhits! was not "taken from" anything, because it was re-recorded specifically for this release. While it is the same song as the B-side of the "Waiting" single, it is not the same recording, therefore it is not from the single. This recording of "Maria" had never before been released. The recording of "Welcome to Paradise" on this album is the recording from Dookie, not the recording from Kerplunk!, so it would be inaccurate to say that the track on this album is "from Kerplunk!". --IllaZilla (talk) 18:10, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

The lead. I think it should say "It also includes a re-recording of the song "Maria", a B-side from the Waiting single, a previously unreleased song "Poprocks and Coke" and then whatever it said about JAR that I can't remember. 24.255.37.229 (talk) 04:40, 10 January 2011 (UTC)

Re-raising this with a question: Superhits was released November 13, 2001. According to Waiting (Green Day song), the "Waiting" single was released October 29, 2001. That's a difference of only 2 weeks. And "Waiting" was released in several versions & formats: 2 different CD singles, a DVD, a 7" vinyl single, and another 7" within a box set. Only the stand-alone 7" single includes "Maria". I highly doubt all those different versions/formats were released on the same day. So what exactly was the release date for the "Waiting" 7" single that includes "Maria" on the b-side? Because if it was after Nov. 13, 2001, then it's perfectly accurate to say that "Maria" was unreleased before appearing on Superhits. --IllaZilla (talk) 20:51, 10 October 2012 (UTC)

Genre

I think folk punk should be replaced with pop punk. Many of the songs on the album are classified as pop punk and only one is classified as folk punk. --John of Lancaster (talk) 15:46, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

I removed folk punk. There is no explanation for it given in the text, and the sources don't support it. Likely it was put there by a POV editor who felt that "Good Riddance" falls in that genre simply because it's acoustic. --IllaZilla (talk) 17:46, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

Poprocks and Coke

Almost everywhere on the page, the song is referred to as "Poprocks & Coke," with an ampersand. But then in the singles section of the infobox, "and" is spelled out. I was going to change it, but I wasn't sure if when it was released as a single, they changed the name or something. If anyone actually knows, they should probably go fix it. slimey01 19:35, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
