Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Languages of India and Pakistan

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Languages of India and Pakistan was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was to keep in order to preserve edit history.

The page once contained information about the languages of India and Pakistan, but has since been split into two separate pages. The page now only contains links to the two separate articles: Languages of India and Languages of Pakistan. -- Walt Pohl 07:53, 25 Nov 2004 (UTC)

  • Comment: No longer needed as an article title, and no useful content, but do we perhaps need to retain the history? No vote at this stage. Andrewa 11:00, 25 Nov 2004 (UTC)
  • Yep, we do, merge histories. [[User:MacGyverMagic|Mgm|(talk)]] 12:39, Nov 25, 2004 (UTC)
    • Comment: That might have been possible once, but the histories of both the successor articles now overlap. If this article's history is merged with either of them the result will be a mess requiring developer attention to fix. Perhaps it's better left as it is? Still no vote. • Merge, if it needs devel attention so be it. --fvw* 00:24, 2004 Nov 26 (UTC)
  • Other Make into a disambig page, add a comment "this disambiguation page exists to preserve edit history". It's the solution that sucks least, I think. Kim Bruning 18:41, 27 Nov 2004 (UTC)

This page is now preserved as an archive of the debate and, like other '/delete' pages is no longer 'live'. Subsequent comments on the issue, the deletion or on the decision-making process should be placed on the relevant 'live' pages. Please do not edit this page.
