Abyssin was listed on VfD on 22-AUG-2004. What follows is that discussion:

From the article, one would never know that it's from Star Wars. I think it's non-notable. Also would apply to Aqualish et al. Yelyos 20:13, Aug 22, 2004 (UTC)

• Comes from List of Star Wars races, wich is, unfortunately, just a list. Suggest an umbrella article be written: Minor races in Star Wars, and merge and redirect this, and all the other little one-paragraph stubs, into that article. Kevyn 21:09, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• Why do people who make List of ... articles set wikilinks around every entry? That person is setting the stage for every blinking, minor, item having an article, whether it should be an article or not. Merge it, if it really needs to be known, into that List of article and delete this. Geogre 21:21, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • Well, "Lists of" with everything linked do make sense in the context of finding holes in content. However, you are correct that it does encorage creation of a zillion little stubs that realy should be part of a greater whole.Kevyn 23:31, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)
• I have created the article Minor races in Star Wars and have merged this article into it, and made Abyssin a redirect. Will start the process of moving other races, as well. Kevyn 23:33, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)
  • OK, all the minor races have been moved. I left the "major" ones as stand alones (Ewoks, Wookies, etc). Kevyn 02:43, 23 Aug 2004 (UTC)
