What is the point of this article? Oh, and the legal age to purchase alcohol in Canada and the United States (and presumably other nations) varies by province/state. For example, the legal age in Ontario is 19, while in Quebec it is 18. --timc | Talk 21:14, 15 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Actually in the United States it doesn't vary from state to state, There is one universal age limit for purchasing, possession and consumption of Alcoholic Beverages and that is 21. This is due to a federal mandate that requires all states to be 21 or their will have their federal highway funding taken away. Misterrick 23:10, 18 September 2004

Thanks. I guess I put my foot in my mouth there. Still, ages do vary in Canada. :-) --timc | Talk 00:16, 19 Sep 2004 (UTC)

This shouldn't have even been started if next to nothing has been filled in. Mike H 00:18, Sep 19, 2004 (UTC)
