Sorry[edit]

Sorry that I didn't add the wars to the alphabetical list as well in my edit from 11th January, I can assure you I'll be doing it next time. Iris lorain

Cod Wars[edit]

Cod wars do not belong on this list.

They're inter-state militarized conflicts, so not sure why not. -- Beland (talk) 01:19, 12 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

should be added to the list. 83.176.102.45 15:58, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Trouble in Northern Ireland[edit]

In reference to the troubles in Northern Ireland - how can 5.4 lives be taken? Also the troubles took more lives than that. 13 were killed in Bloody Sunday alone. I was just wondering how this could be. I don't know how many lives were taken during the troubles but it would have been well over a hundred. mspence835 - 24th of November 2009

Now it's 3.542 live? How can this be, I will research this and return with the REAL numbers of deaths. - mspence835 - 27th of February 2010 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mspence835 (talkcontribs) 12:00, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

British battles[edit]

I can't see very many British battles on here, Towton, Bosworth, Hastings, St Albans even Boadicea isn't mentioned.86.166.74.179 (talk) 07:38, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dead quiet between 1923 & 1934??[edit]

Granted that I can recall any, but were there really no wars between 1923 & 1934????? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eggestad (talkcontribs) 18:35, 14 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Soviet Turkish War[edit]

I can not find any Soviet Turkish war on the internet. And on the Wikipedia article Soviet Union–Turkey relations it shows no war taking place in 1917 or 1918.Ingmar Elfsborg (talk) 23:40, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yellow Vests?[edit]

The Yellow Vest protests at the end of the list of serious armed conflicts in Europe seems comically out of place. Any objections to removing it? Phil153 (talk) 18:23, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I can't believe I'm seeing this now after so long, but it does seem like a bad joke. I'm removing it, since for 10 months nobody else has responded. LyriaSiders (talk) 23:16, 10 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback of edits by blocked sock[edit]

In this edit, dozens of edits by block-evading sock Cherteau (talk · contribs) were removed. Mixed in with the sock's editing, were several good edits which were inadvertently removed in this rollback, namely, these:

These edits may be moot if they were fixes to edits by the sock, in which case, nothing needs to be done. However, if you believe your edit is still valid and should be in the article, I will re-insert for you upon request, or you may do it yourself. Let me know what you prefer. Fix user links, reping @Mzajac and Achim55:. Mathglot (talk) 22:00, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I’ll restore mine. Thanks for the damage control. —Michael Z. 22:06, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Done. —Michael Z. 22:15, 1 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Not wars.[edit]

The yellow vest movement is not a war. The definition of a war is 'War is an armed struggle between peoples or states.' You can't call this a war. The same applies to: The Cold War II and the Corsican Conflict. The Cold War II is actually a time period. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ROXANNE9090 (talkcontribs) 12:41, 13 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ongoing wars[edit]

Dissident Irish Republican Campaign should be removed because after the Good Friday Agreement, there have more or less been skirmishes and bomb scares with little or no warfare or casualties. The Republicans usually phone or warn before they set a bomb off. It is not on par with other wars that involve two or more countries disputing territories. Nagorno-Karabakh War[edit]

Is Nagorno-Karabakh not in Asia? And are Armenia and Azerbaijan also not in Asia? So should this be included in this list? 67.250.34.48 (talk) 06:29, 26 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
