Is this the same thing as the Burrows-Wheeler transform? Is so, we'll need a redirect there. If not, then it would be good to explain how they differ.

From searching on [1], it looks like it's generally used to mean the Burrows-Wheeler transform. I'll put a redirect here, and try to merge in most of the info into the existing article.
