                       THE ROOT OF AFRICAN PHILOSOPHY

Africa is a big continent with many clans and cultures. The people of this rich continent have for many centuries lived by their God given way of life and have never failed to tap and make use of the rich ancestral wisdom passed on to them from many generations. It all begins with education of a kind, that is nothing like the western form of education or formal education as it is called and universally accepted now. This African form of education was all based on the great lessons that came to fore through the kind messengers of mother nature. Because,it was believed that the master architect of the universe is all present in the works of his own hands and does communicate to mankind,by the simple use of these things including man himself. Therefore,it was thought of as wise to pay heed to the voice of the creator as it visibly and softly speaks about the simple principles of life, and the best way to live. Consequently, the African ancestors and philosophers taught the basic principles of life by making use of stories, that clearly outlines what everyone needs to know about this life.In sounding tunes, these stories were often told, after evening meals when all family members come together to share in what was more than food and drink - the ancestral word. From these stories every child was schooled to live and act responsibly in the society. Thus making peace with nature and neighbour,to the greater glory of God the invisible giver of all good things.

A look at your edits leaves me with the impression that you are not here to help build the encyclopedia but to promote your own ideas. Another edit like those and you are very likely to be blocked indefinitely. Dougweller (talk) 09:09, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
