Greetings from Buda, Texas (pronounced Buda as in "beautiful")

I'm a native Texan with degrees in electronic technology and computer science, and a strong background in Unix systems administration.

I've worked for Texas A&M University, the State of Texas, then left public service to work for a telecom company that sent me to Australia and Chile (the language barrier was difficult in Australia, but I did okay in Chile thanks to 2 years of high-school Spanish,) as well as such exotic locations as Johnson City, Tennessee, and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Then I moved on to work for two major electronics companies in the Austin - San Antonio area.
