The Manipulation of Geological Data

Hello! Thanks for your message. A few responses:

1. Remember always to sign your messages (as explained above); it makes it much easier to reply to you.
2. Links to Wikipedia articles don't need the URL, just The Manipulation of Geological Data.
3. I've made some initial edits, but in general the article looks good at a glance. Some of the issues that immediately arise are:
   1. Unless it's part of the title of a book, film, etc., you shouldn't use start the title with an article.
   2. Never include your name (real or user name) in the article. They're all anonymous, largely because this is a collaborative project (someone could dive in tomorrow and rewrite everything you've done...).
   3. Check the Wikipedia:Manual of style concerning use of inverted commas, bold, italics, etc.
   4. Have you checked what's already in related articles? You should always try to avoid too much duplication.
   5. I notice that your up-loaded images have no copyright tags; you need to add a copyright notice to each of them (they could be up for deletion otherwise).
   6. A minor point, but 'Earth' (when it refers to our planet) is a name, and should be capitalised.

Please provide information about where you got the images you uploaded, Image:Sand Fluid Geological Data.jpg, Image:Folds of the Earth From Above.jpg, and Image:Folds of the earth from close up.jpg. Otherwise they'll have to be deleted eventually. dbenbenn | talk 19:04, 20 Apr 2005 (UTC)
