Are Huskies good with children?” Let’s have a look at what you may expect from your Husky in terms of relationships with youngsters. After working with hundreds of families as a dog trainer, I believe there is no dog breed that is inherently “good” for children. The management, monitoring, and training technique used by the family will always decide how well the ties between the dog and the kid develop.[[1]]

Lead image[edit]

Hi, I think the lead image could do with a major upgrade and replacement. It's from 2004 (19 years ago) and is only 115 KB (originally). Viriditas (talk) 20:38, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Go for it! Annwfwn (talk) 22:19, 27 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There's a lot on commons. Are there any you prefer? Viriditas (talk) 00:05, 28 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

In the sub-description "Behavior" there is a paragraph on the intelligence of the breed. The following sentence is unsupported:

"The Siberian Husky's work as a sled dog, with minimal active direction from a driver, and a driver's reliance on the dogs to make their own decisions in poor conditions, utilizes the other two forms, "Instinctive Intelligence" and "Adaptive Intelligence", to a much greater extent."

This is cited to footnote 31 which does not even mention the Siberian Husky or sled dogs generally and it just a general description of the types of dog intelligence. This sentence should be removed or updated with a source that supports it. LegalThoughts (talk) 14:04, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed that and I've cleaned up some of the other stuff in behaviour. Traumnovelle (talk) 17:27, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
