I'm not clear whether this is a title or a concept, and whether it's significant enough to merit an article. Deb 10:49, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)

  • Anime has a whole bunch of weird child articles, like catgirls. If anime fans can verify this one is true and under an appropriate (widely used) title, then give it a chance to grow a bit first. Keep for now. Securiger 12:42, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • Seems somewhat idiosyncratic to Megatokyo to me. Seems to be talking about This work in particular, which has apparently been turned into a Thinkgeek blanket. 3,190 google hits. Definately not at the level of catgirls, which have appeared as a major theme in actual anime (e.g. the Ctarl-Ctarl of Outlaw Star, among many others). More akin to a fairly popular SomethingAwful joke, if you ask me, but no vote for now. I am somewhat reminded of the episode of Tenchi Muyo Universe where it's snowing; this may yet be part of a larger phenomenom, although we may be getting into original research land with that. - RedWordSmith 13:35, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • first reference known to me (by Ian Mcconville). Possible Neologism, known by enough artists perhaps to be significant enough for a weak keep. Kim Bruning 16:44, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • The first reference is actually here, by Piro himself. It's reasonably well known, but not its own phenomenon. Merge into Megatokyo, but keep as redirect. --Aponar Kestrel (talk) 00:32, 2004 Oct 12 (UTC)
      • That's really subtle, I missed that one. Thanks for noticing! :-) Kim Bruning 22:59, 15 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete or perhaps merge with moe. Gamaliel 18:38, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete: cartoon neologism. Geogre 21:07, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • _Webcomic_ neologism, but known to quite a lot of webcomic people for quite a number of years. (the first ref is already quite old, so maybe "neo"logism is a bit of a misnomer.) Kim Bruning 21:31, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
    • Yes, I was being mean. I admit it. I knew it would get people up in arms, and I said it anyway. Geogre 01:16, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC) (fat man in deletionist mood)
  • Merge into moe or Megatokyo. • Benc • 23:36, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Channelling fandom source: established meme, keep.--Bishonen 00:47, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Theme is not notable enough. --Improv 01:19, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Delete. Fancruft. Wile E. Heresiarch 03:14, 11 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Weak keep, seems a notable enough concept, after some research. siroχo 03:51, Oct 11, 2004 (UTC)
  • I also call it a weak keep, although I'd like to see the article expanded. Maybe I'll do a little work on it. I've seen this comic parodied and/or referenced to innumerable times in high-traffic webcomics. --Slowking Man 06:33, Oct 11, 2004 (UTC)
  • Hmmm the thing is that ater the numerous references on Megatokyo, the term was both used and parodied on a horde of other comics... It's not a neologism since it was first used a few years back and has been reacurring ever since. The concept is okay and while it is disputable i think i'll vote keep... --Asmodai 17:44, Oct 11, 2004 (UTC)
  • Merge and redirect to Megatokyo. The phrase is rather common in the webcomic community, and readers should be directed to the relevant article. Gwalla | Talk 03:06, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep this one. Mark Richards 17:22, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Merge and redirect to Megatokyo, as it can never become more than a stub. Ashibaka 18:56, 13 Oct 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep or merge into appropriate article. Apparently a definable concept well-known in a particular field of literature. Sharkford 20:12, 2004 Oct 13 (UTC)
  • Delete. This is =so= Duran Duran. Don't get my point? You just did. Denni 00:57, 2004 Oct 15 (UTC)
