    • I'm neutral on this vote but SM is the largest chain of malls (not just supermarkets) in the Philippines (they even have an overseas branch in Xiamen, People's Republic of China). It's like saying that Walmart is not notable. Basically, you can vote to delete it because as it stands right now, it's not even a decent article, but don't vote for deletion just because you've never heard of it. --seav 15:29, 12 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Proposal to remove all other articles about SM Supermalls.[edit]

During the discussion for proposed deletion of an unsourced SM Supermall article. One of the comments suggested that all the other SM Supermall articles about SM Malls (especially those not even constructed and the minor malls) should be deleted, as they are quintessential examples of WP:NOTDIRECTORY, and leave only this article. And this should be done as well to all other mall articles like those in Robinsons Malls. Any comments? --Rxlxm (talk) 03:16, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mall List[edit]

Hi. Why not just list all the malls, similar to Ayala's and Robinsons's so that every mall will be listed. This way, it won't look like a directory, maybe.

Similiar to this:

Lifestyle Cities

  • Mall of Asia
  • Seaside City Cebu

Premier malls

  • North EDSA
  • Megamall
  • Southmall
  • Cebu
  • Lanang Premier
  • Aura Premier
  • CDO Downtown Premier

I did China Malls and Future Malls first.

WP:NOTYELLOW #7 Says we do not include
"Simple listings without context information. Examples include, but are not limited to: listings of business alliances, clients, competitors, employees (except CEOs, supervisory directors and similar top functionaries), equipment, estates, offices, store locations, products and services, sponsors, subdivisions and tourist attractions. Information about relevantsingle entries with encyclopedic information should be added as sourced prose. Lists of creative works in a wider context are permitted."
WP:LISTN basically says that the group has to have been covered in reliable secondary sources and WP:GNG are our basic notability guidelines. In a nutshell wikipedia not a place to list all the stores of a particular company without context. So "store X is the first SM in the town is not sufficient" and future malls unless there has been coverage in secondary sources should not be included. Wikipedia is not a place to check if there is a store in their town that is found in yellow pages and nor isiit the place to look for a comprehensive list of future stores. This page has been edited by a long list of conflict of interest editors banned multiple accounts and single purpose users and undeclared paid editors. Thanks for the info. Well actually, I'm from the Philippines and I know this article for a very long time; some of the users did vandalize the article but I needed for a request to protect this page but it denied. So I guess that I will fix (it)/solve (it)/etc. this problem/issue/etc. that will be finished/done. Anyways, thanks by the way. P.S. This is a temporary... We don't need to add future malls as per WP:NOTCRYSTAL, but all the current malls needs to be reverted because if the list shall be WP:GNG, we'll be confused about how many malls they opened just like the article CityMall. Relevancy of maps with mall locations[edit]

I don't see how multiple maps, or even a single map, of mall locations are relevant to Wikipedia re: WP:N. People can just look up the city where the mall is in and have an idea of where it is. Chininazu12 (talk) 11:23, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
