GA Re-Review and In-line citations[edit]

Members of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles are in the process of doing a re-review of current Good Article listings to ensure compliance with the standards of the Good Article Criteria. (Discussion of the changes and re-review can be found here). A significant change to the GA criteria is the mandatory use of some sort of in-line citation (In accordance to WP:CITE) to be used in order for an article to pass the verification and reference criteria. Currently this article does not include in-line citations. It is recommended that the article's editors take a look at the inclusion of in-line citations as well as how the article stacks up against the rest of the Good Article criteria. GA reviewers will give you at least a week's time from the date of this notice to work on the in-line citations before doing a full re-review and deciding if the article still merits being considered a Good Article or would need to be de-listed. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact us on the Good Article project talk page or you may contact me personally. On behalf of the Good Articles Project, I want to thank you for all the time and effort that you have put into working on this article and improving the overall quality of the Wikipedia project. Arrival of first SD&A train in San Diego Photo[edit]

Incorrect caption. First through SD&A train from east was heading north (railroad west). Photo shows train heading south (eastbound). Change caption to "SD&A train departing from the Santa Fe Depot, called Union Depot during use by SD&A/SD&AE". (When first SD&A through train arrived in SD in 1919, old California Southern depot was still standing, right where the locomotive in this photo is located!) 2600:1700:C221:AB0:4544:6C5F:60BD:442C (talk) 07:12, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Caption on photo of Arrival of First SD&A train in San Diego[edit]

Incorrect caption. Not arrival of first SD&A train in 1919. That train was heading NORTH (railroad west). Train in photo is heading SOUTH (railroad east). When first SD&A through train arrived in SD, old California Southern depot was still standing right where the locomotive is in this photo! See photos and info in PSRM library, Campo, CA. 2600:1700:C221:AB0:4544:6C5F:60BD:442C (talk) 07:22, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

PHOTO CAPTION CORRECTION CORRECTED[edit]

DELETE my references to old California Southern depot in my earlier photo caption corrections. CS depot was pulled down in 1915 when Santa Fe depot opened, obviously not there in 1919. I confused the two (brain fog). The correction of caption on first SD&A through train arrival photo stands --- train in photo going in wrong direction. Suggest you also add info on 1932 construction of SD&A's famous Goat Canyon wood trestle in Carrizo Gorge, later designated a Historic Civil Enginering landmark. 2600:1700:C221:AB0:A8F8:18A:7D43:6119 (talk) 20:06, 28 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
