Gay Icon Project[edit]

In my effort to merge the now-deleted list from the article Gay icon to the Gay icons category, I have added this page to the category. I engaged in this effort as a "human script", adding everyone from the list to the category, bypassing the fact-checking stage. That is what I am relying on you to do. Please check the article Gay icon and make a judgment as to whether this person or group fits the category. By distributing this task from the regular editors of one article to the regular editors of several articles, I believe that the task of fact-checking this information can be expedited. Thank you very much. Philwelch 22:20, 24 Mar 2005 (UTC)

California Public Servant[edit]

Can anyone confirm that this is the Cindy Williams that was an at-large (civilian) member of the California State Board of Pharmacy in the 1980s? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.121.16.240 (talk) 00:53, 17 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, one and the same. I am a pharmacist from Laguna Beach. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.115.238.102 (talk) 00:53, 26 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Her schoolmates[edit]

Her high school cohorts included financier Michael Milken, actress Sally Field, and talent agent Michael Ovitz, who are one year older.

Date of Death[edit]

Her family announced that she died WEDNESDAY not today. 2601:188:8200:DF60:CC13:2D78:B83A:107 (talk) 23:53, 30 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Then why did it take five (5) days to make the news? That sounds like a rather long time to determine whether or not a person is dead. Cbsteffen (talk) 04:46, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Maybe because no one is required to report a death the moment it happens? Mike Allen 04:56, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, the family had no obligation to announce the death right away. I have edited other Wikipedia biographies that cite newspaper obituaries that say that the person died several days before the death was announced publicly. This case is hardly unique in that regard.
