From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This page is an archive of the discussion surrounding the proposed deletion of a page entitled First 100000 digits of pi.

The result of the debate was to delete the page as it already existed at Wikisource.

I really don't think we need this. Is there a good argument for having it? Jwrosenzweig 20:16, 25 Mar 2004 (UTC)

I'll second that. Meelar 20:17, 25 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Plenty of good arguments against it, and they've been gone over before. I'm pretty sure this was moved to Wikisource once. - Hephaestos|§ 20:18, 25 Mar 2004 (UTC)

  • Well, if it's in Wikisourse, then its not needed here. I didn't notice the link at the bottom of the page. Ludraman | Talk 20:25, 25 Mar 2004 (UTC)

How about cutting it down to 1000 digits. ~~phr

  • This has come up before and was deleted (or moved to wikisource, though I think it was back in the pre-wikisource days). I vote to redelete. Tuf-Kat 21:29, Mar 25, 2004 (UTC)
  • Keep. But maybe it can be more informative? Say, first 500,000 digits? That would help. Just kidding. Delete with a vengeance. Abscissa 04:35, 26 Mar 2004 (UTC)

  • Delete. It is a source dump. It can be linked to externally (or from wikisource), but having it locally makes no sense. I can't alter the data, it is static and might as well be protected since no one can add to or change the first 100000 digits of pi. Maximus Rex 05:55, 28 Mar 2004 (UTC)~
