Thanks for doing this, SV. It makes sense to separate the discussions of new versions from discussions of old versions, regardless of editing breaks. And because it's a series, having a place for a general series discussions is also helpful. All editors are welcome to contribute, I'm sure. Again, good idea. Is this talk page covered by the injunction? We need a talk page somewhere for the sandbox pages.

I've gone through the Talk:Lyndon LaRouche/sandbox and cut all the strikeouts, long comments, etc, and then I posted the result at User:Willmcw/sandbox2. It is not intended as a copy to edit from, more of a galley test print. The important data may be that with the current strikeouts, etc, it goes from (including our comments) 8,569 words, 430 lines (carriage returns), 59k down to a revised 6,005 words, 324 lines , and 42k (12 printed pages, including references, with my browser's settings). Still too long, IMO . I think that the period before 1973 can be shortened, and the 2004 material is also a bit long. (After all, this isn't Ashlee Simpson that we're writing about.) I've leave the "sandbox2" copy up for a day or two in case anyone wants to see how the editing is coming, but let's confine our actual edits to the Talk:Lyndon LaRouche/sandbox version, until we're ready to confirm the changes. -Willmcw 07:34, 28 Jan 2005 (UTC)

By the way, the injunction against us covers only the creation of new articles (and they mean in the public namespace) and editing articles on Template:LaRouche. It doesn't cover any Talk pages. Moving forward

Since this editing effort has quieted down and perhaps the injunction will be lifted soon, we should finish this sandbox project and get it ready to post. I'll work on integrating recent edits to the official article(s) into the sandbox versions. And then, in the next few days, I'll remove the striken material (and as many comments as possible) in order to get articles that are presentable. If any of the strikeouts are bothersome, this is a good time to fix that (or later, no problem).

As another editor has just pointed out elsewhere, "edit wars" can sometimes result in better articles. Even if editor HK is no longer part of the editing team on this series, I expect that we will nonetheless strive for encyclopedic material that is beyond POV reproach. As always. Well, that was quite a process. The injunction has been lifted and so I've moved the four sandbox articles into the main space. The LaRouche Movement article needs work expecially on the cultic behavior and the funding. The Political views of LaRouche is rough and needs more work. But all in all, there is good work here.
