Why isn't there any mention of Anniston's huge PCB pollution problem?

J. Crocker 00:51, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good question. Seems like a glaring omission.72.130.89.63 (talk) 09:01, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

update on eastern bypass??[edit]

It seems as if there is additional work on the eastern bypass. Can the page be updated to state when the project will be completed and where the bypass will go after the Gold Springs community? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.224.209.29 (talk) 19:05, 21 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bit of a bias?[edit]

This article, and the section about the PCBs, in particular, seems a bit biased at times. There's nothing that stands out as being absurdly out of context, but the PCB section and the section about the government being a "weak mayor" type, without bothering to mention the actual political makeup right now, seems a bit much. Also, there are quite a number of incidents that have occurred at the Anniston public high school (I'm thinking of a few shootings at football games, in particular) that could be extremely important to anyone considering living in Anniston. If there's not going to be an article on the school system, I should think incidents like the shootings should at least be included here, for completeness' sake. 74.242.43.244 (talk) 00:17, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On the mayor I'm assuming it's not gay bishop Gene Robinson, but I'm not sure how to fix it.--T. Anthony (talk) 11:18, 15 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree on the bias. I've tried to clean up a few of the more glaring statements. But, I think the article needs a complete rewrite. It's very poorly written, especially the introductions. Rbharris1 (talk) 12:18, 7 December 2009 (UTC)R. B. Harris[reply]

'43 Tornado[edit]

How come there isn't anything on the tornado that hit in (I think) 1943, which wiped out most of the town? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.209.144.16 (talk) 01:06, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Posistion, number of digits[edit]

The difference between 33° 39′ 46″ N, 85° 49′ 35″ W and 33° 39′ 47″ N, 85° 49′ 35″ W equals 31 meter or 34 yards. A town surelly is spread through a far wider area, isn't it. Suggest use of degrees and minutes only. 83.249.160.43 (talk) 23:45, 6 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Population[edit]

It doesn't talk about the 2015 population. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.181.7.57 (talk) 20:39, 5 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Any statement of population in 2015 would be an unofficial estimate, and therefore unreliable. rags (talk) 04:07, 3 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
