Article[edit]

The only game system article I know of that has both an article about it's clones and a link to it's clones article is the NES article. If any Wikipedians know of any other game systems that have clone consoles/handheld units, please write articles about those too! --SuperDude 15:45, 17 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Well, it's a minor note, I suppose, but the Tristar 64 is both an NES and SNES clone. What would be interesting, however, is to see some info on those little Atari 2600 clone devices that were popular before the glut of NES clones starting to hit the streets a few years ago.... – Seancdaug 00:09, Apr 19, 2005 (UTC)

Rename?[edit]

Is "game system" really the correct terminology for this? The categories seem to use the "console" term more frequently, and it seems like "Video game console clone," or "video game console hardware clone" (if we go by the way the Nintendo Entertainment System hardware clone article is named) would be more appropriate. Any thoughts? – Seancdaug 03:59, Apr 20, 2005 (UTC)
