Does one properly respond to these things here? I'll give it a shot, and see.

Camelot Caper stars a young woman named Jessica Tregarth, whose cousin John is mixed up in a rather complicated ancient artifact scam. I believe the story pre-dates Borrower of the Night, and Peters certainly refers to it in Night Train to Memphis, when we meet John's mother.

Connection between Peabody and Bliss series[edit]

All you really need is Night Train to Memphis. It's primarily in the scene when John and Vicky are hiding in a cave with a tunnel in the back, near Amarna, and John knows of the cave because of an old family story. (Her also talks about his grandfather or great-grandfather at some point, and I suspect that would be who the story is from, though I haven't done the math to figure out what would be plausible.) There's a scene in one of the Peabody books with just such a cave near Amarna - Sethos is present (you know, the one where he poses as Vandergelt?), as is that Sir Edward guy (haven't read that particular volume in a couple of years, unfortunately).

I believe some of the artifacts being stolen in Night Train ought to be recognizable from the Peabody books, but I can never keep track of that sort of thing.

I do know the connection is valid, because the FAQ on the author's site (which I got from the article here, having never thought to look for one!) admits that there is one without revealing what it is.

I've been rereading Night Train to Memphis and so far I've found several references:

It is definitely the same universe. Vicky says that she feels like "Amelia P. Emerson", a designation that she would not use if she were a fan of the books. More significantly, the tomb of Tetisheri plays a major role and there is actually a description of its discovery by a husband and wife team employing modern methods (and the woman who copied the paintings).
The first reference to a family connection is very vague. Vicky is't paying attention when "Jen" (John's mother) refers to something that is "...only a distant connection with Egypt, really."
