"Blind as a bat" example[edit]

I'm not sure this qualifies due to being inaccurate on two counts: 1.) Bats are not blind, at least generally and 2.) Some people are, so the statement "She's as blind as a bat" cannot be a hyperbole in any case, because if even whoever-she-is is literally blind, it is incorrect to compare that to bats since she would actually be more blind than most bats (I'm sure some bats are blind just as some humans are, but they would be the exception.), and if she isn't literally blind then it's still wrong because you're comparing her to something which is also not blind. It would only qualify as hyperbole to compare someone who is not blind with something which absolutely is, but I know of no such phrase in common usage.
