Why stopped?[edit]

I think it would be good if this page explained why they stopped the century series and went back to single digit numbers. I have no idea why they did this (I think it was kind of arbitrary and pointless, esp. given the F 117, and what not).

The F- series (among others, such as the B- series) had a number series reset under the 1962 United States Tri-Service aircraft designation system. A75 19:23, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article name[edit]

Shouldn't the title be Century Series, as this is a proper name? I have always seen it published as "Century Series", and it is used that way in a book I have on the topic. - BillCJ 19:40, 16 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Error in Orthographically projected diagram of the F-100 Super Sabre[edit]

The front view is of a F-86 Sabre Jet, not the F-100. Someone with a good graphic package and skills could modify this for us. Thank you, LanceBarber 17:44, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

F-100 gallery image[edit]

Can anyone see why the F-100 image is not working in the gallery? The text for it is there and it is the same photo used in the infobox of the main F-100 article, tried to fix it but I can't see what is wrong. Nimbus227 15:59, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tidy up?[edit]

Would it be stating the obvious that the word 'Century' is related to the fact that the designations are in the 100 and above sequence, it does not seem to be mentioned?

I think it would be nice to add a short description of each type under its linked heading for those readers who can't be bothered to go to those articles or may want a brief comparison, I can do this if nobody minds.
